I’m new to this and thought I’d try it out but there is some technical jargon that I don’t understand, RSS and such.

    there is an RSS link already built into your wordpress site. At the very bottom of your site you should see Entries (RSS) or Comments (RSS). Those are your RSS feeds for others.
